In the middle of a busy week, this drop-in meditation class at Kadampa Meditation Center New Mexico offers something rare — an actual hour of stillness. No reservation needed. No experience required. Just show up and settle in.

Each session blends guided meditation with simple Buddhist teachings on cultivating a calm, positive mind. The techniques are practical and accessible, rooted in the Kadampa tradition but welcoming to people of any background or belief.

The center sits in midtown Albuquerque in a quiet, welcoming space that feels a world apart from the noise outside. Regulars describe the Tuesday morning class as a kind of reset — one that makes the rest of the week feel more spacious.

Drop-in welcome. Small donation or class fee at the door. Tuesday sessions run 11am–12pm. Thursday evening classes also available at 6pm.
