Albuquerque's Old Town has been continuously inhabited since 1706 — and according to local legend, not all of its residents ever left. The Friday night ghost tour winds through the narrow adobe lanes of one of the Southwest's oldest neighborhoods, lanterns in hand.

The tour covers the San Felipe de Neri Church (built 1793), the old territorial courthouse, the haunted Armijo House, and several other historic structures that have witnessed centuries of New Mexico history. The storytelling is grounded in real historical research — this is not schlocky theater.

Summer evenings in Old Town are beautiful — warm air, strings of lights in the plaza, the smell of green chile drifting from nearby restaurants.

Meet at the Old Town Plaza gazebo. Comfortable shoes recommended — the tour covers about a mile on unpaved paths.
