A short drive north of Santuario Grande, the village of Corrales feels like New Mexico slowed down to its proper speed. The Wednesday afternoon growers market reflects that — a small, unhurried gathering of local farmers, bakers, and makers spread out along the cottonwood-lined main road.
You’ll find heirloom tomatoes, fresh-cut herbs, local honey, handmade tamales, green chile ristras, and baked goods still warm from the oven. The vendors here tend to be the same faces week after week — people who grow what they sell and are happy to talk about it.
Combine the market with a stroll through the village, a stop at a local winery, or a walk along the acequia trails that thread through the neighborhood. It’s an afternoon well spent.
Wednesdays and Sundays, 9am–12pm, April 26 through November. Located in Corrales village — about 10 minutes from Santuario Grande.
