Each April, the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center in Albuquerque comes alive with the sounds, colors, and spirit of New Mexico’s 19 Pueblos during American Indian Week. This annual celebration is one of the most meaningful cultural events in the region — a genuine expression of living tradition, not a performance for tourists.

Throughout the week, tribal dancers perform traditional dances in the center’s outdoor plaza, artists demonstrate pottery, weaving, silversmithing, and beadwork, and storytellers share histories that span centuries. The marketplace fills with authentic handmade work from Native artists across New Mexico and the broader Southwest.

Santuario Grande sits just minutes from the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center, making it an ideal home base for guests who want to attend events throughout the week. The property offers the quiet, unhurried pace that makes returning from a full day of cultural immersion feel like a true exhale.
