Taste your way through the flavors of New Mexico on this guided walking food tour of Old Town Albuquerque, led by guides who were born and raised in Santa Fe and Albuquerque. The tour runs about two hours and forty-five minutes and starts from the lobby of Hotel Albuquerque, just blocks from the historic Plaza.

From there, the walk winds through Old Town’s oldest landmarks: the Plaza itself, where your guide covers Albuquerque’s 1706 founding and the story behind the two historic howitzers still parked on the grounds; the San Felipe de Neri Church, built that same year by Spanish settlers and still an active parish today; and the Capilla de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe, a tucked-away “hidden chapel” most visitors walk right past.

Between stops, expect real New Mexican staples — green chile stew, biscochitos, and other regional favorites — paired with tastings along the way. Every bite comes with the story behind it, from Pueblo and Spanish colonial roots to the green chile debates that still divide the state.

Tours require a minimum of four guests to run and involve close to a mile of walking at a relaxed pace, so comfortable shoes are recommended. Gratuity for your guide is not included in the ticket price.
