Our Accommodations — A Bed & Breakfast in Los Ranchos de Albuquerque

We have four places for you to stay here, and they are all quite different from one another. The Dragonfly Chapel is the one people come back for — 1,700 square feet beneath a three-tiered stained glass ceiling that has been standing in this village since the late 90s. The two casitas are smaller and quieter. The Roadrunner studio is the one I recommend when someone tells me they are traveling light and mostly want a good bed and somewhere easy to make coffee in the morning.

Breakfast comes with all of them. So does the rest of the property — the courtyard, the cottonwoods, the acequia, and the birds I have somehow become very attached to.

Great room of the Dragonfly Chapel with carved wood beams and leather seating

The Dragonfly Chapel

Sleeps 7 · 1,700 sq ft · 1 double, 1 queen, 2 king · From $495 a night

Our most adored building, and the one that surprises people. A three-tiered stained glass ceiling with dragonflies worked into the glass, and enough room that a whole family or a small retreat group can spread out without falling over each other. Two bathrooms — a soaking tub upstairs, a shower downstairs. The rate covers up to three guests; beyond that it is $35 per person, per night. Check-in here is 3:00 PM.

South Foxfire Casita with a queen bed, dark headboard and curtained windows

South Foxfire Casita

Sleeps 2 · 600 sq ft · King bed · From $285 a night

A quiet one, for two. Southwestern through and through, with a king bed, a desk by the window if you cannot quite leave work behind, and a washer and dryer — which guests staying more than a couple of nights are always relieved to find.

North Sunflower Casita with two queen beds, tufted headboards and a chandelier

North Sunflower Casita

Sleeps 4 · 600 sq ft · Two queen beds · From $245 a night

Two queen beds, a fireplace, and a walled patio behind a coyote fence where you can sit out with your coffee and not see another soul. Good for four, or for two who want the second bed for the suitcases. The rate covers two guests.

Interior of the Roadrunner RV Studio with a bed, sofa and television

Roadrunner RV Studio

Sleeps 2 · 600 sq ft · King bed · From $205 a night

Our most affordable room, and truly a favorite. King bed, a kitchenette with a full-size refrigerator and a toaster oven, a sofa and a table. Simple and comfortable, and the one I point people toward when they are out exploring all day and just want somewhere easy to come back to.
