“We are passionate about taking care of our Guests”
During the late ‘90s, Dawn and Joe initially were drawn to New Mexico, where Joe had a Landscaping business in the East Mountains. Dawn attended the New Mexico School of Natural Therapeutics, and after graduating and becoming an LMT, she opened Harmony Therapeutics, where she offered Colonics and Bodywork.
In 2005, they moved their growing family to Florida. While grounded there, raising their three sons, Joe worked as a UPS driver while always harboring his fascination for horticulture.
Dawn had a private therapy practice and was dedicated in supporting her clients in a safe environment where they could heal and explore the Body/Mind/Spirit connection. She also worked as Director of Massage Education at a local trade school and it was there, that she discovered her gifts of communication and teaching.
Through all those years, Joe and Dawn visualized that in the next chapter of life, they wanted to embark on owning a wellness themed bed-and-breakfast where they could synthesize all their passions.
They have recently partnered with an amazing couple from New Mexico, Mark and Jenny Valencia, to bring to you this wonderful home away from home, SantuaRio Grande.
They are enthusiastic to share their home and hospitality, their knowledge of growing foods, of balancing health and their love for nature & music with fellow travelers.
At SantuaRio Grande, our ‘Big River Sanctuary’, you will find a safe place to simply relax, explore wholeness, reset the mind, or for those interested, discover new ways to refine your lifestyle.
